Congratulations to James Omollo and the NABUUR virtual village on their new website to promote the work of the Kindu Self Help Group who help the orphans in the area as well as developing a nursery, agricultural projects & fighting HIV.

AVIF volunteers will be assisting their projects.

This week a multi-million pound grant-making organisation signed up & successfully identified half a million pounds of projects to fund.

A video from Adam Hart Davis in Kenya explains the threat posed by climate change, especially in Africa.

change due to global warming is already happening, and hitting poor
communities and vulnerable ecosystems".

Update to Menengai NABUUR project

Just to let those who first went to Menengai know that a high production cow has been introduced to start improving the existing breed of cows, a guernsey. The number of cows is expected to double in the group through a combination of Artificial Insemination techniques combined with a good breed. The first 8 milking sheds were finished last week too so a resounding achievement.



A video here tells of the NABUUR experience in allowing people to help themselves.
